Great stay! We really enjoyed ourselves. The property is beautiful and the house is well maintained. Lots to see and do in the area. Couldn't even begin to scratch the surface! Will definitely be back!
We loved Rock River Retreat! We stayed here for 8 nights, while exploring the Pictured Rocks National Lake shore. The house, which is about a half hour drive from Munising, was very comfortable and had everything we needed, even binoculars for star gazing at night, which, this place is perfect for! There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, very comfortable, with extra bedding in the closets. The kitchen and dinette are roomy and fully equipped. The bathroom is renovated with lots of counter space. There is satellite TV, but no wifi. Communication with Lisa was excellent. We would gladly choose Rock River Retreat for a future vacation in this area!
We rented this home for a week and were very pleased. Home and property is as described. Home was very clean, beds very comfy and very spacious for the six of us. No wi-fi is available but needed the break anyway, was nice to have time with teenagers, who did not have access :). Would definitely recommend this home, especially if you need to get away from it all. Very close to many of the Beautiful waterfalls.
Our stay at Rock River Retreat was amazing!! What a beautiful home! So peaceful and serene with the creek in the back. Great trails for hiking and perfect distance to all attractions. My family is already planning a return trip to another Hiawatha Vacation Home!
The 8 of us (2 families) came from Europe to stay in this lovely setting. All was PERFECT and we would be more than happy to do business with Hiawatha again in the future. Thank you, Lisa, for going above and beyond for us. The house was ideal: clean, comfortable, well-located. Such gorgeous property. The campfires under the stars were dreamy. We will never forget our stay there!

This property is everything it is advertised to be -- actually, more -- and Lisa is a terrific, helpful host that responds very quickly via email. We regularly saw deer and rabbits in the yard and one time a couple ponies that had wandered beyond their home on a friendly neighbor's property even joined us begging to be petted. I'm the cook in the household (every meal was prepared in the kitchen) and was never wanting for anything. The quiet location is convenient for making day trips to Pictured Rocks, Manistique, Marquette and Munising.
