Wonderful overall experience!! Our family loved the area and all it had to offer. The cabin was comfortable for our family of 5. If we make it up to this area again we would definitely look into staying here again. Make sure and follow the directions they give you to get to the cabin!

The cabin was so beautiful. The inside was clean, had a quaint log cabin feel and was perfect for six adults. It had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the surrounding area attractions as well. Had a relaxing, beautiful week.
Twin Lakes Lodge was the perfect fit for our family vacation! It was clean and well-stocked. The trails made for great riding and the lake made for great fishing. It was great being so close to Munising and the many tourist attractions in the area.
Perfect, pet-friendly home base to explore the eastern UP! My husband, our two dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twin Lakes Lodge. The lodge is far nicer than I expected, and the manager, Lisa, made sure we knew how to reach her if needed. There is plenty of room for a large party, the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen and bath are well apportioned, and the fire pit / grilling area offers plenty of seating. Tucked back into a wooded area around the lake, the lodge is very private and quiet. I felt comfortable enough to let our dogs go unleashed as long as I kept my eye on them. We did not go down to the lake (which is at the owners’ home just down the road), so I can’t speak to that feature. The location, about 12 miles south of Munising, is ideal for day trips to waterfalls, Pictured Rocks, hiking trails, etc. And the fall colors in the area were stunning. I look forward to coming back and can’t recommend the lodge enthusiastically enough. A few tips: Some navigation systems list the lodge as in “Munising Township” rather than “Wetmore.” We had no cell phone service at all in the national & state forests (understandably), so don’t rely on your phone to navigate you. (The lodge itself has a strong WIFI connection and satellite TV.)
This cabin is a bit off the beaten path, but an enjoyable place to spend a few days in the UP. It was clean and ready for us when we got there - and we really appreciated Lisa and Toms ability to work with us on VERY short notice. My only suggestion for future renters is to bring your own water if you are coffee drinkers. We enjoyed Twin Lakes Lodge very much.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Twin Lakes Lodge in August, 2019. We enjoyed an adventurous trip over the Pictured Rocks and Sand Point Beach in Munising. Such a fantastic location centrally located near so many great places to explore. The lodge was clean and in excellent condition with of room for our big family. It was very peaceful with close access to the smaller Twin Lake, Munising is a great area.
The cabin is cute and very clean. The kitchen and bath are fully stocked. Nice location for a quiet retreat in the woods. Lisa was a great host.

Very Enjoyed our stay, nice cabin and the Kids enjoyed the lake and paddle boat. Perfectly located to enjoy the areas many attractions. Will definitely be staying again. The Houghton Family
